Alumni History

On Saturday, January 2, 1926, graduates of St. Francis High School formed what we believe was the first Alumni Association in St. Paul. Rev. Father Alban, C.P., had charge of the meeting and was the first director of the association. Officers elected that evening were President, Ina Hopkins; Secretary, Cecelia Munding; Treasurer, William Siegel.

"The purpose of the association is to interest the alumni in the present affairs of the school and to meet at the end of each term with the graduates of that year and renew school day friendships. It is also expected that this organization will give several 'affairs' during the school year to help both the school and the association.

The following attended the meeting Saturday night: Ethel Volmer '24, Lawrence Dwyer '25, Cecelia Linden '25, Pearl Dillon '22, Vera Dowd '25, Mary Dillon '23, Mable Glasgow '23, Olive Volmer '25, Eddie George '25, Ina Hopkins '25, Cecelia Munding '24, Mary Dowd '23, William Siegel '24, Alice McClarnan '24, Cleo Smith '25, Bernard Dowd '25, Alma George '24, Frances Brogan '23, Fred Strasser '23, Harold Linden '25, Joseph O'Bryan '25, and Rev. Father Alban."
