Kansas commemorates the 150th year of statehood this year. As part of the school's sesquicentennial recognition, the Osage Mission - Neosho County Museum hosted tours for the 7th and 8th grade classes on January 28. The event started with a presentation on the history of the Osage tribe and the Osage Mission; followed by a tour of the exhibits. During the event students and teachers were proud to learn that our town and school are about 14 years older than Kansas - 164 years young this spring! Thanks to the museum staff for hosting this event.
The museum's heritage displays give students, teachers and parents an opportunity to look back in time, and to better understand their community and their families.
